I don't have much time today for a long post but just wanted to pop in and share some happy news. I have longed for a wood stove in my home for *years*. Well, I am finally getting one! If all goes to plan, it should be installed either this week or next and I couldn't be happier. I'll share pictures once all is said and done.
I can't wait to be surrounded in that smell of woodsmoke. It is the most comforting smell in the world to me. I'm so very excited! :0)

I put a woodstove in my first house.
And I loved it.
It was a top and/or front loader. Early one morning (I was a single mom, had to do it all myself) I managed to singe the eyelashes off one eye, some hair and a bit of eyebrow.
It was still worth it!
I am so happy for you, dear! I loved my old wood stove when we lived in the mountains--we used it to warm our home, heat water for bathing and dishes, and occasionally cook food. I agree--wood smoke is a wonderful smell. Enjoy!
